It makes absolutely no sense to increase your customer base by 10% through advertising if you’re losing 40% of your potential sales due to the inability to process credit payments. Why make things harder for yourself?

First you need to maximize your frontend operations by getting set up with a merchant account – and then you can focus on finding additional customers because you won’t be turning any of them away when they show up!

Plastic money is here to stay. This is the most convenient and more preferred way of making payments the world over.

The following points explain exactly WHY your business profits are directly related to accepting credit cards:.

1. Convenience - The first and foremost reason why sales increase when you accept credit cards, is that it is extremely convenient for the buyer to pay for your product and/or services. Because it is so convenient, a person will not stop to think whether they really need or not the product/service that has caught their eyes.

They will go for it. Because it is easy to pay for it.

2. Capacity to pay more – those who use credit cards use credit. That means they can “afford” to buy certain things that others who do not have access to credit, can. They are more likely to give in and buy something that they like, than those who have to pay for it with cash.

The capacity to extend this little extra will make it easier for you to sell your product or service.

3. The Number One Online Payment Method – payment by credit cards is the most preferred way of payment over the Net. This is due to the simple reason that it is both instant AND safe for the consumer – because their money is federally insured and their purchases are protected to some degree by the card provider.

4. “Retail Therapy” – for many, shopping acts as a stress relieving mechanism. Hence, when you give your customer the opportunity to buy your product with a credit card, you give them a means of “recreation” – and you get your thanks in the profits you make.

5. International Customers – If you’re selling your products or services (such as graphic design, consulting, etc.) on the web, then you’re going to be reaching an international audience.

So why not make it as easy as possible to process international payments? Credit payments are globally accepted, and the vast majortiy of consumers at home and abroad will have a credit card.

6. More Confident Consumers through “Risk Reversal” – Consumers are protected when they purchase anything with their credit card. This means that if they do not receive the product – or are otherwise mistreated or “duped” by the payee, they can file for a “chargeback” with their credit card company.

This removes much of the risk on their part, which makes it that much easier for them to “pull the trigger”…

7. Rewards of credit cards work for you – whenever rewards are announced on credit card purchases, customer will tend to overspend to qualify for the particular offer. During those times, they will not be too “choosy” about the cost, time of purchase or the real need for it – they will buy because they are additionally motivated by the rewards of the credit card providers. Your business may profit as a result..

8. Fast transactions – the credit card payment is done within seconds, which makes shopping a pleasure. Paying by check is often a killjoy because it is so slow. You will need to have the check cleared before you dispatch the goods/ services and when that period stretches for days into weeks, it somehow kills the “happiness” of having bought the item.

9. Real time transactions – if you’re online, you can have your “shop” open round the clock. Over the Internet people can access your business any time (day or night) depending upon their time zones. They can buy as and when they please since the credit cards will be cleared in real time automatically by your merchant provider’s 24/7/365 payment gateway.

Hence, your business begins to “run itself” that much more…

In short, make it as easy as possible for others to do business with you – and you’ll reap the rewards.

Big time.

And though this principle isn’t just limited to accepting credit cards, chances are, getting a merchant account is likely the easiest way for you to boost your business in a very short amount of time.

So the next time you’re looking to place an ad or submit a press release – ask yourself if you’re truly going to be maximizing your profits from the response you’ll get from doing so…

If your answer is “no”, then it’s time to start accepting credit cards.

PayPal Vs. Merchant Account

Many people see PayPal*, ClickBank* and other third-party providers as the best way to do business without a Merchant Account since there is no application process involved, and some, like PayPal*, have no up-front fees. This aspect makes them more appealing to “shoestring” start-ups and business models that deal with online (digital) products. However, sometimes “cheap” isn’t a always a bargain.

Let’s take a look at the real differences between using the third-party solutions (like PayPal*) and getting your own merchant account…

1. A typical merchant account will cost about $100 – $250 to set up, a monthly minimum fee (minimum charges incurred, that is) of $25 and $5+ per month for statements. They will charge anywhere from 1% to 4% or more per transaction (discount rate) – depending on your type of business – and most also have some sort of transaction flat-fee, ranging from $0.05 to $0.25

In comparison, PayPal* charges no set up fee, a 2.9% discount rate and a 30 cents per transaction; CC Now* has no fees other than charging 9% per transaction; ClickBank* has a set-up fee of $49.95, no monthly fee and 7% and $1 fee per transaction. DigiBuy* charges $29.95 set-up fee, no monthly fee but a 13.9% or $3 (whichever is greater) per transaction.

To break down the costs, basically, as soon as you’re doing any kind of notable sales volume (ie. $1000/mth or more), the costs of using services like ClickBank*, CCNow* and DigiBuy* far outweigh whatever you’d be paying for a real merchant account that suits your business. The discount rate is usually where all of the money gets spent as it is, and that’s where third-parties generally make all of their money.

PayPal*, however, has a rather low discount rate, and its only additional charge for a standard account is the transaction fee of 30 cents. In fact, if we compare the average charges of a real merchant account with those of PayPal purely from a “numbers” standpoint, it only becomes cost-effective to use a merchant account if you’re processing around $50,000 or more each month.

Well, that’s only taking into account the actual numbers involved – and not the other variables that come into play when doing business online, or offline..

2. At first glance, it appears as though PayPal* is the superior option by far. Their low discount rate and transaction fees are unbeatable, and there is practically no entry barrier. You can open a PayPal* account for free in a matter of minutes, and you can start accepting payments as soon as your details are verified. And for several small-time sellers and internet entrepreneurs, PayPal* will do the trick just fine.

However, there are major drawbacks that are not mentioned in the black and white comparison table that involves cash – the value of the transactions might be different once you realize the following:

a. Often these alternatives do not handles support requests immediately; there have been instance when delays went on for several weeks

b. Paypal* does not allow access to the credit card number of the customer, nor do any other service bureaus

c. Most of the alternatives do not have the capability to calculate shipping charges and taxes in their shopping carts

d. Some alternatives are useful only for large profit-margin sales due to the steep charges per sale (eg. DigiBuy charges 14% per sale which is massive)

e. Some of the alternatives to the merchant account do not have a shopping cart at all (eg. ClickBank*), while some such as that of Paypal* is primitive to say the least

f. PayPal* has been known to shoot first and ask questions later – meaning that even if one of their employees “thinks” that you’re somehow violating their terms of service – some of which are easy to miss (like selling an opportunity, for example) – then your account can be shut down and funds frozen without any warning whatsoever

g. If you’re particularly skilled at marketing, and if you generate a large number of sales during some sort of launch – don’t be surprised if your account gets “red-flagged”, frozen and audited. Again, this happens without warning.

In comparison, here’s what you can generally expect from a merchant account:

1. If you’re processing sales online, you’ll be able to plug your merchant details into a user friendly, simple menu-driven (shopping-cart) interface/gateway – and there are hundreds available, even free ones like OSCommerce* – that is easy to use by prospective customers, and comprehensive in terms of collecting crucial data

2. You can generally modify the shopping cart to suit your exact purpose including the shipping costs and prevailing taxes

3. It will disclose the credit card number of your customers for tracking purposes, refunds, etc.

4. It will help to fully automate your business in terms of payment processing

In other words, when you’re starting out and have low sales volumes, it might be more cost-effective to use services like PayPal*. However, as soon as your sales pick up – or if you want to have more control over your ordering process, while saving money on larger sales volumes, then you’ll need to get a merchant account.

In closing, if you’re serious about succeeding with your small business, you’ll eventually need to get a merchant account. It’s more profitable, and you have far more control of the money being processed.

Because there are literally thousands of MLM companies in the marketplace today, choosing the right opportunity for you might get a little confusing. What make it even more confusing is the fact the every single company in the marketplace claims to have the best products and the best compensation plan. While it’s true that each company will give you a different set of benefits, it’s important to your success to cut through the all the hype you’ll most definitely encounter.

Now, keep in mind, that doing the research to choose the right MLM opportunity for you might take some time because there are literally thousands of companies to look at.

Here are some criteria to you can use during your search:

The first thing I recommend that you look into is the company itself. On one hand, it’s important to check into the stability if the company and it’s funding. Without having proper funding, it doesn’t matter what service or product you’re marketing, because there is a high probability that the company may go out of business. With that said, you also have to look at the corporate management team. A visionary corporate team that is experienced, will give you the security of knowing that the people running the company know what they’re doing.

The second thing you want to look at, is the product and it’s marketability in the market place. Understanding market trends will give you an advantage as you will probably see the product’s marketability over the next 10 to 20 years. Also, look at the current market and possible product saturation. One thing that many people neglect to research is whether they want to build their business online or offline. The truth is, there are certain products and services that are harder to market online than others. And while, the ability to market the product online shouldn’t be the only factor you look at, it is something you should be aware of.

Last but certainly not least, you need to look at the compensation plan. It’s critically important to have a compensation plan that not only rewrds you but rewards your team. This is because, in network marketing, your financial success is directly related to the financial success of your team members. If you are making money, but your team is not, you will not build the passive income you’re probably looking for. On the other hand, if your team members are winning financially, you will have a more secure business and you will profit from their efforts for years to come.

Success Starts Here

We all want a trade that will earn us a good living. There are many business opportunities that are out there. The internet is the best place for business opportunities. There are more millionaires made online than in any other trade and the best way to earn money is through internet marketing.

I chose wealthy affiliate for my training. A wealthy affiliate university review is appropriate for me because I am a current student. A current student is the best way to know how good a school is at providing the education you need. You also can get a better understanding of how they teach.

In providing a wealthy affiliate university review, the training is the most important thing to keep in mind. They offer an action plan that will get you started. This will take several weeks and you will have the education to start you in the right direction. There will be information overload so I advice to take it slow.

The training does not stop there. There are hundreds of tutorials that will help you along the way. Some of us learn better visually and there are many video tutorials that can help. These are added quite often and can shed some light on something you do not understand.

A wealthy affiliate university review would not be complete without mentioning the forum. The best thing is the forum. This is a place where you can read through many topics and learn a great deal. You can also post a question if you have one. You have no idea how valuable this is because most people are a few questions away from success.

You can also meet new people and have your own space. This is valuable for a wealthy affiliate university review because you can meet a mentor, make friends within the affiliate community, and become motivated. Hearing others success is a great motivation. The people you meet are so nice, professional, and extremely helpful.

I know times are tough and you most likely do not have much money to start. Learning a new trade is expensive. A college or trade school will run you dry. I did not have a lot of money to start. Simply pay the fee to wealthy affiliate and they have all the tools you need to succeed. The only other cost I had was a domain name. You do not need buy your own domain name but I chose to have my own.

In doing a wealthy affiliate university review, I can tell you that I fully endorse wealthy affiliate. Since joining, I have been overjoyed and my life has changed and will continue to change. I believe highly in education and my goal is to learn as much as I can about internet marketing.

With the economy hitting an all time low, more and more people are becoming open to the idea of network marketing as a viable source of income. In fact, it’s been estimated that 175,000 people a week are joining a network marketing company or home based business. With that said, there are very few people who understand network marketing and how to create unlimited income. If you’re serious about succeeding in building a home based business, here are some suggestions on how to succeed:

First and foremost, it’s very important that you get the proper training. This is where a lot of new marketers drop the ball. They try to “wing it” and use outdated and ineffective methods of marketing. It’s important to know that your company probably has a winning system already in place. there is no need to reinvent the wheel. Simply, plug into your upline leadership team and let them guide your path. They have a financial interest in you and would never intentionally lead you the wrong way. Assuming your upline team is succeeding in your company, simply copy and duplicate what they’re doing to succeed.

Now, there are a few different parts to a successful home business. For starters, you need to effectively market your company’s product. And while, it is not a requirement to be a slick talking sales person, you still need to convey a story and why your excited about it. You also need to learn how sponsor people into your business. This may take a little time getting good at. But, the beautiful thing is you can leverage your upline leaders and company tools (like DVDs) to expose people for you while you’re learning. One area that is critical if you want to expose people the right way is controlling the point-of-contact. Simply put, it’s important to introduce people you know the right way, so allow your leaders to present the opportunity to them for you.

If you can effectively market your company’s products and your company’s opportunity, and develop other people on your team to do so as well, there’s no limit to how much success you can have in your network marketing business. Always stay plugged in to your leadership’s training and you can potentially be your company’s next superstar.

There are many things to factor in when you want affiliate marketing education. Time and money are of course right at the top. You could have one or both, the time and money, but you still need the right place to learn. This article will head you in the right direction.

I have chosen wealthy affiliate for my affiliate marketing education. They offer an action plan that can get you started in about two months. There are not many places that you can earn in that short of a period. You can learn at your own pace. The action plan is designed to take you through the steps you need and is time sensitive so you don’t get information overload.

This is great if you do not have a lot of time. Simply read through a tutorial and wait for the next one to open up. When I first started my affiliate marketing education there was information overload but a waiting period did help. The action plan is designed to factor in information overload.

The only money you will need is the fee wealthy affiliate charges. They have all the tools you will need. This charge is worth every penny. The education and tools you will be getting are of the highest quality. You will start to earn while you learn.

Think how much a college or trade school will cost you. These schools can cost thousands and not earn you as much as affiliate marketing can. I do not want to offend anybody. I love education and respect all who are involved in education, but you can make the most money online and it starts with affiliate marketing education.

You will succeed. There is a great deal of help at wealthy affiliate and as long as you are a member they will not let you down. You can ask questions in the forum if you get stuck. Affiliate marketing education will make your dreams come true.

Learn How To Make Money Online.

Read this article and steal this profitable facebook pay per click campaign and finally make some cash on facebook. The power of facebook and clickbank is immense, learn how its done today.

Before i reveal the best campaigns that can make massive profits on facebook pay per click, i will teach you how to find your own. If you can at least break even with a few campaigns then you can tweak then and eventually make a profits on loads of different campaigns.

First you would go over to clickbank and find any product in any market that is popular and has a good payout. It does not really matter what subject its on as you want as many campaigns as possible. Then you would enter the payout amount into a calculator and divide this by 100. That is how much you can pay per click on facebook to start with.

My experience has shown me that if i send 100 targeted visitors to an offer, at least 1 person will buy and if only one person buys then i break even at least using the simple formula shown above. This will nearly guarantee that you will not lose, dont think this is fool proof as there will be many times that you will get 100 clicks and not make a sale but i guess you have to hold on until you find the gold.

I have actually experience getting 106 clicks and then the sale come through, lucky for me, but this may not always happen. You must visit the landing page to make sure it looks as if it can convert. If its a poor website then the chances are that you will not make any sales and it would be a waste of money so ensure you do your research first.

Now lets move on to the most profitable campaigns! What is the most popular thing on facebook? Obviously its the games such as mafia wars and farmville, the list goes on and the gurus over at clickbank are making killer guides to target these markets which means thats easy pickings for me and you. I have run a profitable campaign within the USA for over 6 months now and it provides a 340% ROI which is absolutely killer.

I will not tell you exactly what to promote as that would be silly, but i have given you some valuable information so what you should do now is get yourself over to clickbank and find some highly professional facebook games guides that target this specific market. You will also find these games over at myspace so you can start a campaign over there as well. Once you get into this, you will never stop.

Alot of people keep saying that facebook pay per click is useless, but all they want to do is direct the competition else where as its super profitable. These gurus are smart marketers and their email lists follow their every word so i have unleashed this information and i may now have a few super affiliates tracking me down for a quiet word. Enjoy.

MonaVie started doing business in 2005. “We have the fastest growing company in the world” stated his founder Dallin Larsen. MonaVie allegedly does business in 5 different countries. As per their brochure they state that their competitive advantage is a scientifically formulated premium nutritional products. Their business model is designed to be distributed person to person through an MLM or multilevel type business model. But is MonaVie a scam?

“Our products feature an exclusive blend of the powerful acai berry, found only in remote regions of the Amazon, and other nutrient-dense fruits, each selected for its specific nutritional properties.” states Larsen. With such proprietary formulas one can only think you have a diamond in the rough. But is it?

My goal for this article is provide factual information to the entrepreneur interested in starting a a reliable and viable business from home. I will not be bashing nor will be cheer leading for MonaVie but giving you hard factual information.

Before I begin, lets discuss the benefits of starting a business you can run from home or otherwise known as a home based business. These benefits are part of ANY home based business including MonaVie.

1. Tax advantages of owning your own business

2. Avoiding long daily commutes

3. Work whenever you want from where ever you want.

4. Not dealing with corporate policy and bureaucracy

5. Your earning are directly proportional to your efforts – no income ceilings

6.AND finally – no boss on your back telling you what to do.

If you visit MonaVie’s website you will read that their mission statement is the following – “At MonaVie, our mission is to change and improve lives around the world by introducing unique nutritional products, offering a rewarding business opportunity, and by giving back through our charitable initiatives” you will also come across a serious of questions such as “Is it time that you want, or more time? Health, or better health? An income, or a bigger income? Freedom, or greater freedom? Whatever your goals are, MonaVie can help you achieve them”

If you search online and you read an article that was published in August of 2008 by Tony Dokoupil from News Week Magazine, he says ” According to MonaVie’s income disclosure statement from 2007, “More than 90 percent were considered “wholesale customers,” whose earnings are mostly discounts on sales to themselves. Fewer than 1 percent qualified for commissions and of those, only 10 percent made more than $100 a week. The attrition rate (or drop out rate) was not disclosed but as per a recruiter almost 90% of new recruits leave within 90 days.

Ok so let’s get into the active distributors income earnings figures…

If you analyze this statement 97% of active MonaVie distributors receive an average income (before taxes) ranging from $23 per week to $172 per week. This report does not include customers or distributors who have not met sales requirements within any of the preceding 8 weeks to be considered “active.

Now, if you take a look at the actual business opportunity, here is what it looks like for the independent contractor. The initial investment is $40 but to be considered active it gets close to the $200 per month mark. These figures reflect the numbers of a huge amount of distributors that barely break even or make a tiny profit. But it appears that many distributors no matter their success seem very enthusiastic about the products.

Now here’s the question and I dislike using this word but you have to when speaking about this particular business model. Is MonaVie a pyramid ? Or is it a viable way to build a business?

If we look at the earlier statement of the 97% of the distributors earning anywhere from $23 – $173 per week, you can see how MOST of the money is made by this group only to benefit the top 3%. Where the top 3% “Black Diamond” level earn anywhere from $1.5 – $3 million per year. If you ask me there is a huge disconnect between the top earners and the average distributor. You draw your own conclusions to the previous questions.

This type of model is known as the MLM or multilevel business model. Where an organization grows by “recruiting” more distributors via opportunity meetings (or sales presentation) which are meetings held individuals in their home or in a rented conference facility such as a hotel. It is the belief of many people that this MLM business model no longer holds true in todays modern economy. It worked for years but many believe it is dead or slowly dying out.

If you’re like most people you dislike selling not to mention recruiting. But this is what is needed in order to succeed in any MLM business. You will be forced to talk to friends and family or your “warm market” putting a stress in those priceless relationships. Unfortunately this process is essential if you’re going to grow your business in MLM and the hope is that the new distributors your recruit will do the exact same thing in order to push the product and the business opportunity.

The reality is that you have to recruit as many distributors as possible in order to make a nice living, because the way MLM is built it is not designed to compensate your direct selling abilities but rather how many people you bring into your organization. This puts you in a position where you have to teach your new recruits about the products, then teach them how to sell and how to keep them motivated enough so that they do not become another statistic in the MLM industry.,

What has been happening over the past 2 – 3 years, there has been a movement by marketers to sell products and services over the internet. This allows them to leverage technology such as the internet, where the internet does most of the heavy lifting for you and your earnings are directly proportional to your direct selling abilities rather than recruiting a massive team.

In closing, MonaVie is not a scam BUT it is not a viable way to start a home based business. The MLM business model is completely outdated and does not hold true for todays modern entrepreneur that wished to leverage the power of technology. MLM used to work up to the late 1990’s where we did not have things such as google, youtube, facebook, myspace and twiiter. No longer do you have to be “belly to belly” or have an “in your face” approach to business if you want to grow successfully, you just need a new skill set and business model that will help you do the same.

All behaviors that dogs exhibit are designed to either access pleasurable situations or avoid and escape unpleasant situations. A dog’s communication systems are much ritualized and designed to avoid or cutoff conflict. This has made dogs as a species very successful in terms of their numbers and their variety. Things go awry when we humans misread the signals dogs send us leaving them helpless to effectively communicate their feelings to us. We cannot know or understand what dogs think and vice-versa. What we can do is understand canine body language, observe them as we interact with them and then respond appropriately. ‘Talking dog’ is simple if you remember a few important rules and it will make interacting with dogs fun and safe. The dogs you come into contact with will really appreciate it.

The types of social behaviors dogs demonstrate can be broadly grouped into either distance decreasing or distance increasing. A dog uses distance decreasing behaviors to promote approach, play and continued interaction. A lumbering soft gait, relaxed body and a relaxed face indicate the dog is encouraging interaction. Dogs who want to engage in play will demonstrate the ‘play bow,’ a posture where the dog bows the front of his/her body so that the front legs are parallel to the ground while the hindquarters remain in the standing position, the dog may offer you a paw, lean into you or rub against you.

Distance increasing signals vary and can be easily misread. The distance increasing signals we all seem to ‘get’ are when a dog stands upright making each part of their body appear as large as possible, weight on the front legs, upright tail, upright ears, piloerection (the hair on their back stands up), and the dog will bark or growl. We seem to instinctively react to these signals and take them as the warning they are.

The distance increasing signals that we commonly misinterpret are the more appeasing behaviors dogs demonstrate. Dogs use these appeasement behaviors to make friendly encounters more reliable and to help them pacify what they anticipate to be a hostile encounter if escape is impossible for them. These behaviors are a nonaggressive way to ‘cut off’ conflict. When a dog displays these behaviors we have to recognize that this is the dog’s way of showing us that they are unsure and a little scared.

You may see appeasement signals in one of two ways. Passive appeasement behaviors are easily misunderstood and are often labeled as ‘submissive.’ Dogs displaying passive appeasement will present themselves in a recumbent position exposing the underside of their body. The dog’s ears are typically back and down against the head and the tail is often tucked between the upper legs. Sometimes the dog will expel a small amount of urine while it waits for the attention to cease. The active appeasement dog is often incorrectly labeled as ‘excited’ or ‘overly friendly.’ They will often approach you with the whole rear-end wagging in a “U” shape allowing both its face and genital area to be inspected and they may be desperate to jump up and ‘get in your face’.

For humans then, it is important when meeting and greeting dogs to be able to recognize if a dog is friendly and wanting to greet you or if the dog is experiencing stress or fear. A conflicted dog will want to approach but is too scared or unsure of the outcome. Their body language will vacillate between displays of distance decreasing behaviors and distance increasing behaviors. Interacting with a dog that is conflicted can be risky. If you make a wrong move and the dog cannot avoid the approach then they may become aggressive. This is often the case with a fear biter. If a dog is demonstrating ambivalent, mixed signals then it is advisable to avoid sudden movements, and to allow the dog an escape route. Don’t force the meet and greet by moving toward the dog or having the dogs’ owner manipulate the dog toward you.

In general when you meet and greet a dog make sure you have a relaxed posture. Let the dog approach you, turn slightly to the side as this is less threatening for the dog than you standing in a full frontal position leaning over them. Always ask permission from the dog’s owner to pet their dog. Talk gently to the dog without making eye contact. It helps to crouch down and keep your hands by your side without making any sudden movements. When you have determined the dog is not showing any signs of stress or fear and their body language is relaxed and happy then you can slowly move your hand under their chin to stroke them. If the dog is showing passive appeasement signals, as described above, then step away, give them space and allow them to approach you on their terms and in their preferred timing.

It is important that we recognize a dog’s “cut off’ behaviors. ‘Cut off’ behaviors are designed to cut off the social contact. If, when greeting a dog, you don’t recognize that the dog is scared or stressed or you choose to ignore the dog’s communication and push forward with your approach you are unfairly pushing the dog into a situation where it may only be left with one option and not a favorable option to either dog or human.

Dogs will typically give plenty of warning if they are uncomfortable with something that another dog or a person is doing. These warning signs may include a direct stare, a rigid body, a growl and showing “whale eye” (flashing the whites of their eyes). The dog’s ears will be flat against the head and they may have a closed tense mouth, if you see any of these signals then stop what you are doing immediately and allow the dog to slowly back away.

Dogs are wonderful animals that love and need to be a part of our social lives. But, like people, their personalities range from being social butterflies to wallflowers. Tailor your approach and greeting style based on the communication they are giving you. Dogs are very clear with their intentions and emotions and respond appropriately to ours. Remember our body language and approach speaks louder than our words to a dog.
